The Hockenheimring already has a tradition of being the IDM final circuit. The first motorcycle race ever took place at the Baden Motodrom in 1932. In 1957, the first motorcycle Grand Prix was held in Hockenheim. Because the old circuit was too long and there was almost nothing for the spectators to see in the long forest sections, a shorter circuit with better overtaking opportunities was created, which was completed in 2003. The Hockenheimring is a flat circuit with the ultra-fast Parabolica left-hand corner. The Motodrom has a cult character.
